A Happy Day Out: Hastings.

One town that has been on my list of 'must visit' places for a while is Hastings. We finally made it just before school started and I am so glad we did, as it is one fun quirky town.  Here's why.

1. Hastings Adventure Golf.

We played golf for 4 hours and it felt like 5 minutes! One of us was a complete novice but thankfully, this amazing course is perfectly adapted to beginners. It starts with simple tasks and gradually increases the difficulty factor. The pirate course is definitely the most fun with great surprises along the way.

Guess how happy we were when we realised that its cafe made homemade ice creams?! Yes, VERY. They were just scrummy!

If you need another reason to visit, we would suggest you pop along on the weekend of the 24th and 25th October, to learn from the real champs as it hosts the World Crazy Golf Championships! Un-missable!

2. Butler & George

A treasure trove of strange and beautiful vintage things, ranging from mesmerizing puppets to stuffed animals.

3. Surprises everywhere you look.

There are so many things to take in in Hastings, from the green rolling hills towering above the sea to the gravelly seaside with fish boats that still go out to sea every day, from the medieval castle to the traditional screamy funfairs, from the rickety funicular to the go-kart racing track.

We can't wait to go back as one day simply wasn't enough. In fact we will be back in December for HiFest, the illustration festival. Can't wait!
