On a flying visit to Edinburgh, I discovered that The National Museum of Scotland had just gone through a major refit and I couldn't resist a visit.
Pretty glad I did because it is simply stunning. There are collections for every taste, every age and that celebrate cultures and history from all around the world.
From the Celts to Picasso, from modernist interiors to telescopes and stuffed animals, it is diverse, rich and hugely inspiring. I spent most of my time staring at beautiful costumes from the World Cultures galleries and cannot wait to go back to see more.
