From 19th to 21st September
Station X is the sci-fi event not to miss this Autumn, with an excellent programming including some of our favourite sci-fi movies, like Fahrenheit 451, Quatermass and the Pitt, Thunderbirds are Go and Dr Who. This weekend festival, based in the magnificent surroundings of Bletchley Park, will also feature a series of workshops and talks for children of all ages – including a stop-motion animation workshop and a chance to create aliens and spaceships.
Until 14th of September
Get back to nature with a walk through the stunning, tropical butterfly house, full of species from around the world. As well as seeing butterflies and moths fluttering around you, there are also interactive displays and activities, and even the chance to see pupae hatching!
Saturday 27th of September
A show for young and old alike, though not for the faint hearted! This performance, adapted from the book by Brian Pattern, is full of dark myths, folklore and fairytales - ghosts, monsters and dragons!
From 11th September to early December
You think history is boring? Think again! Thanks to our friends at Horrible Histories, history is a raucous affair of gruesome, weird, fascinating and yes completely bonkers episodes and characters! Their new tour, suitably called Barmy Britain, kicks off early September all around the UK so be sure to book your seats now, as their shows are always a riot!
