As the Summer is only around the corner and now we’ve waved the riders of Le Tour across the English Channel, what is there to keep the whole family entertained this July?
Children’s Theatre Festival - Canary Wharf, London
20th, 27th of July, and 2nd of August
Pack a picnic for this fabulous series of free open air theatre performances in Jubilee Park, including The Gingerbread Man, Alice Through The Looking Glass, and (an Anorak favourite!) Horrible Histories: Barmy Britain.
The Gruffalo’s Great Forest Tour - Forests across the UK
Thursday 10th of July - Tuesday 19th of August
To celebrate his 15th birthday, the Gruffalo himself will be stomping through the forests of the UK and even posing for photos. Walk the activity trails, hunt for the 7ft tall sculptures, and download the ‘Party Pack’ ahead of the time for printable bunting, games and tasty recipes!
Saturday 12th - Sunday 13th of July
Ar mateys! Set sail for Arundel Castle this weekend for an educational adventure. Admire the realistic encampment, the performer’s costumes, and the battle between the King’s men and villains! Older children can even learn combat skills, archery and fencing!
Monty Python Live (mostly) - A cinema near you!
Sunday 20th of July
Grab some popcorn! This month, for the first time in over thirty years, Anorak's heroes of comedy Monty Python will perform live on stage together! You can watch them from the comfort of your local cinema as Monty Python Live (mostly) will be broadcast globally from the London O2 Arena.
Until 20th August.
If you are thinking of a trip to London this Summer, why not consider a stay at the elegant Waldorf Hilton Hotel, and particularly in their exclusive Playmobil suite? Share your room with Anorak's favourite plastic people for the enjoyment of your little ones. Book your weekend here.
