Little Editor, Isaac (10 years old) reviews the thrilling Egypt-inspired tale of The Sun Thief by Jamie Buxton.
"This book is about a boy, called Boy, who works in an inn but is taken by a tomb robber to finish a model of queen Nefertiti's head. He soon realises that he has to kill the king and come back with the tomb plans. When the plan goes wrong without the robber knowing it then it's up to Boy to save his sister and the robber.
I really liked the book because it is adventurous, exciting and it made me never want to put it down.
My favourite part was when he tries to rescue his sister after he has just drank poison because it was cool and how he ran to Thutmose's workshop then travelled through the desert to rescue her.
My two favourite characters are Boy, because he is brave, clever and loyal to his family and the quiet gentleman (the robber) because he is sneaky, good at escaping and dangerous.
I would definitely read another book by this author. Her book Temple Boys sounds interesting and fun."
