Dear Anorak friends,
A huge thank you from me to all of you who have helped make 2015 such a fun year.
I have not had a chance yet to reflect properly but looking back briefly at this year, I see a riot of colours, happy drawings, lovely fan mail and a huge growth spurt.
And two big launches: DOT which has been one amazing success, selling over 8,000 copies of issue one. Studio Anorak, our illustration collective which has enjoyed some great collaborations with organizations such as Barbican and Flatpack Film Festival, and brands such as Paperchase and Stella McCartney Kids.
As for Anorak, it seems more popular than ever, with a festive period that has sent our subscriptions and sales soaring. Thank you thank you!
All this wouldn't be possible without you and I am forever grateful to all our amazingly talented contributors, our audience of wonderful parents/guardians/grand parents/teachers/uncles and aunts, the press and great bloggers who relentlessly champion us, our brilliant subscribers, our army of Little Editors, our beloved independent stockists and the brand managers who keep commissioning our fun crew.
2016 is already looking quite busy as we will be celebrating our 10th anniversary with a two day drawing festival, The Drawing Imaginarium, launching early April at the amazing Yorkshire Sculpture Park and coming to D&AD Festival (London) a month later.
There may be one bumper issue of Anorak in November to celebrate too, but more of that later!
Thank you again for being part of our adventure.
Now I am off to celebrate with a gelato or two. Or three.
